Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from parents regarding boarding life, health oversight, and student readiness.
Can parents visit students at the hostel during the term?
Yes. We maintain designated visiting weekends twice monthly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM). Parents are also welcome during scheduled school functions, Open Days, and Parent-Teacher engagement sessions.
Are mobile phones allowed at the boarding school?
To safeguard mental well-being, encourage focused study, and preserve peaceful peer relationships, personal mobile smartphones are not permitted in dormitories. The school provides scheduled landline and supervised video call facilities so students can speak with their parents every weekend.
How does the school handle medical illness or emergencies?
We have a dedicated on-site nursing suite staffed by certified healthcare personnel who monitor students 24 hours a day. Minor ailments are treated promptly in our rest ward. For serious symptoms or emergencies, parents are notified immediately and the student is escorted to Hospital Port Dickson, located just 10 minutes away.
Does my daughter need to have memorized several Juz' before joining?
No prior memorization is required. While students with prior tahfiz progress will be placed into accelerated tracks, our introductory streams start from the basics with tajweed refinement, short surahs, and gentle daily consistency.
Is Madrasah Attaufiqiah recognized for SPM examinations?
Yes. Our curriculum follows the Malaysian Ministry of Education (KSSM) guidelines, and all students register and sit for the national Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations with full eligibility for Malaysian public and private university admissions.
